football and halloween

this past month has gone by so fast! i can't believe it's almost thanksgiving and i haven't had a single minute to post about halloween. throughout the past 4 weeks gibson has made leaps and bounds. he is now completely crawling everywhere and climbing up on everything. he says dada, mama, and dog all day long and loves to play with mattey and dino. we took him to his first byu game in october when the cougs came to play the aztecs and gibby had a blast. he thought that we were all clapping for him every time the fans cheered. for halloween gibson was dressed as curious george while ryan was the man in the yellow hat. they were so funny together; that is until gibson went to bed and then ryan just looked like a banana. other than that, gibson is officially 9 months today. the time has flown by. we are looking forward to gibson's first thanksgiving and christmas. i never knew the holidays could be so much fun with kids!

within the past month, gibson has survived his first 12 hour car ride to utah, his first experience at byu which included meals at kneaders, the italian place, and j dawgs among others. we also spent time with my brother, tanner and his wife cami, along with carley and her friends in the dorms. gibson and i met up with ryan's brother jeff and his girlfriend kearra for dinner as well. we had so much fun staying with my mom's brother, watching the byu game, bowling at byu and spending time with the family. it was so neat to see how much fun gibson had with my family. i can't wait until the holidays when we're all back together again!

this past saturday we went up to a town called julian to pick pumpkins off the vine and get a slice of famous julian apple pie. we went with our close friends heidi and pual andrews. i don't know who had more fun, paul with the goats that got loose and mining equipment on display, heidi and i picking out over 8 different pumpkins to put on my front porch, gibson with his first experience eating an apple, or ryan laughing at the fact the lady who checked us out at the pumpkin patch who was in awe because she'd never seen anyone buy that many pumpkins in the several years she has worked there. (in my defense 4 of them were tiny less than $2 each). anyway, we had a blast! thanks for joining us heidi and paul!
